Halloweekend

So, the only thing that I have been looking forward to recently is Halloweekend. Which would be this weekend. I had all of these plans to go out and dress up and do all of the fun things. However, it is currently not going according to plan. So as of now my Halloween plans no longer involve a costume or parties or fun! And yes, I am being a complete brat about this. But it's alright. I will stay inside and watch scary movies and carve pumpkins with my boyfriend!
In class today reading The Rape of the Lock wasn't too bad. I'm glad that Sweeney tore it apart like he did because I had no idea what it was talking about. It's hard to understand writing that is older like that. But I guess that is why we have these English classes... so we can try to understand it better. I usually like poetry, but today was confusing. I really liked the ones that we had to read in class on Wednesday. Hopefully the ones assigned for the weekend will be entertaining!!

Wedding Weekend

This past Saturday one of my very good friends, who just so happens to be my boss, got married!! I love weddings. I had so much fun there with everyone, and she looked amazing. It just makes me think of what my wedding will be like. I felt so bad for her for the entirety of her engagement because she didn't have any help with planning or paying for the wedding. And she was starting to go crazy! But everything turned out beautifully. :)
It's such a typical girl thing; loving weddings and not be able to help start planning your imaginary wedding after you go to one. haha, but I will not be all crazy about it. I'm sure it will happen eventually.
So that was basically the highlight of my weekend. The wedding and the fact that I got a pumpkin last night to carve tonight! Other then continuing to work on this paper and registering for classes next semester. woooo! almost done!

Last Week

Last week was insane for me, so I totally forgot to write on my blog. I have been thinking about what I am going to be doing for my second "out of class" event to count towards my grade. Hopefully I can figure something out. I was supposed to go out of town this weekend for some festival in Lake Gaston, but I am not sure if I will be able to. I have so much homework to do, and with this paper due on Monday.... haha just kidding. this paper isn't that bad. If I don't go out of town, I guess I will go to the Folk Festival that Sweeney was talking about. I'm super glad that I can write these blogs at work. The other day there was a robbery down the way from my store at Chesterfield Mall. So that was creepy. Other then that, school is kicking my ass and I cannot wait for this winter break!

The Glass Menagerie

So I am really liking writing this paper for The Glass Menagerie surprisingly. I really wasn't excepting to like the play much, but the more we dug into it and dissected out different ways of looking at things, it was a lot more interesting. I think if I had to pick a favorite character, it would be Tom. I feel like I can relate to him more then the others. Although I can find a little piece of myself in Amanda and Laura though.. But Tom is trying to find a way out, and comes back. And I feel like I do that a lot with things in my life. Plus I like to drink too ;) (yes, I am of age). But I don't know, I feel like we are all just looking for something, but when we get the chance we realize we never knew what we really wanted in the first place and we just end up right back where we started.
